Trivandrum Chicken Corner in Muvattupuzha, Famous for Crispy Chicken Fries

Are you crazy about Chicken fries? For anyone who likes crispy fried Chicken swamped with delicious masala, you should have to visit Trivandrum Chicken Corner in Muvattupuzha. I remember having chicken fries some time back from this same restaurant in Trivandrum. The Trivandrum Chicken corner is no longer available in Kerala’s capital, in fact, they have opened a new shop in Muvattupuzha. I decided to take a drive to Muvattupuzha to check out this new food spot. It was raining heavily and the car wiper had to swing at its maximum to show us the way.

It is a new building with an attractive shop board by the roadside that would draw your attention. There is a chalkboard by the entrance displaying the list of recipes available for us. While Crispy fried chicken is normally served with Chapati, I choose to go with Parotta for a change. It all comes in as one set involving Parotta, Gravy, Chicken fry, yellow lemon pickle, lime juice and Onion salad. We have been given permission to have a peek at the preparation of these yummy dishes.

Chicken is marinated with masalas before frying in oil. Parotta mixed with gravy goes well with crispy fried chicken pieces. It’s nothing but the masala, that gives this chicken fry an interesting flavour. Having a spoonful of onion salad or a pinch of lemon pickle would give you a taste change in between. Gravy for Parotta and lime juice is unlimited with this combination.

I have also used this chance to check out a new recipe by the name of Chicken Dynamite. Boneless chicken pieces are used in making this unique dish and it has a whitish-brown tint. Sliced Jalapeno chillies are sprayed over to impart a light spicy flavour. Chicken Dynamite is all about a different taste with mild sweetness. We would also feel the taste of mayonnaise and it melts in quite well with Jalapeno chillies. The chicken pieces comes down to us as tender and it feels good to have this dish.
