It has been 20 years since Sehiyon Oottushala started serving food to customers. They start with breakfast items. Pidi and Kozhi (chicken) curry was their special breakfast combination. This is not currently served due to the pandemic after-effects. At present, you will get Porotta, Appam, Idly or Chapathi for breakfast. Seafood dishes are the lunch specials. Lunch is served over banana leaves with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. There are many varieties of fish curries and fish fries to choose from. Meenmutta (fish roe) is also another specialty here. Beef and chicken dishes will be available from 9 AM.
This is a budget eatery where the common man can enjoy a decent meal. A standard meal will cost you only Rs.70. A plate of Meenmutta costs Rs.150. The restaurant has a sufficiently large dining area with neatly arranged tables and chairs. Interiors are neat, but not luxurious. It is located near Pulleppady Junction, opposite to NJK Pearl Apartments. This restaurant is beside a narrow lane, and so you will find some space to park your vehicle. Sehiyon Oottushala opens at 7 AM and closes at 8:30 PM. Sundays are holidays. You can dine-in at the restaurant, but there are no separate family rooms. If you do not wish to dine here, you can place an order for parcels. This is a restaurant that enjoys good reviews on Google.
