Hangout Restaurant located at Palarivattom Ernakulam, is a restaurant that specializes in serving Kerala special food items. Along with the traditional Kerala food, they serve a few Arabic dishes as well. They started their first restaurant in Kollam. In fact, the owners claim that they were the first to introduce the concept of Chattichoru in Kollam.

At Hangout Restaurant, you will get many varieties of Sadya (traditional Kerala banquet). In a Samudrasadya, you will get around 15 seafood dishes along with rice and curries. It costs Rs.280. Achayansadya has 6 to 7 meat dishes cooked with beef, mutton, or duck meat. It costs Rs.380. Ulsavasadya is a recent addition to the list of Sadyas. In addition to Sadya, there are several rice combinations also. A bowl of Pazhamkanji will cost you just Rs.60. Owners say that they make Chattichoru using their own unique masala mix. If you visit the place in the evenings, you can feast on Kizhi Al Faham, or Rabbit Al Faham. All items are cooked in the traditional manner.

Hangout restaurant has a decent interior space, though not luxurious. There is a separate family room as well. The restaurant remains open from 10:30 AM to 12:30 AM. Parking facilities are available at the restaurant. You can dine-in, or order takeaways. Door deliveries are also available. Although the restaurant started functioning 8 years back, there are very few reviews about this on Google. Reviews do not show positive feedback from all customers.
