Hotel New Geetha Bhavan in Calicut is one of the two hotels with the same name, Geetha Bhavan. Both these hotels are nearby, one is old and the other one is new. You can also taste a variety of non-vegetarian dishes like Beef roast, Beef chilli, Nadan Chicken curry, Duck roast and Rabbit roast. I choose to go with ghee rice and Chicken fry, while my friend Shabeer was having Kerala meals and Mathi fry (Sardines fry). Ghee rice has chicken curry, papad and onion salad as side dishes. Fried chicken pieces along with crispy grated coconut masala, taste really well with the ghee rice.
Although the food spot does not offer many seafood varieties, Mathi fry was really good with the Masala. Food is served on natural Banana leaves and it gives you a traditional feel. Hotel New Geetha Bhavan may not provide you with an outstanding ambience. It is a budget-friendly restaurant which gives you a variety of dishes to choose from.
Even though there were only a few reviews available on google, many of those who choose to share their opinion was having good feedback about this food spot. A parking facility is not available for this restaurant and it’s open from 12 pm to 4 pm in the afternoon. It will be closed on Sundays.
