Handrails have been in place for the people to have support and comfort. It gives a protective feeling when we stand there witnessing the beautiful sea, with the support of handrails. Many people were seen taking pictures of the rushing waves lashing onto the concrete tetrapods placed along the coastline. Small fishing boats along the horizon moved ever so slowly presenting us with a beautiful sight. The natural scenic view of the sun looking to say goodbye for the day feels amazing with the colourful sky. We could see the lighthouse far away on one side slowly waking up to its daily routine. The restaurant is located opposite Vizhinjam Police Station by the side of the road. We could see an open kitchen at the front and we have seen Parotta being prepared continuously on heated tawa. One of the special recipes, Chicken fry was also being made in the kitchen. Lately, Vizhinjam has been gaining popularity for delicious chicken fries and it’s started to be recognised by the outside world as Vizhinjam Chicken fry. The marinated chicken pieces have been kept in a pan for frying. We saw the masala mixture used in chicken fry is being fried separately to be served along with the fried chicken pieces and other recipes.

It is made by including fried chicken fry masala in its preparation. Moreover, it will be a one-sided omelette, which means one of its sides remains semi-cooked and juicy in nature. It has to be taken without losing its hotness. If we tend to keep it for some time, the omelette would lose its hotness and the taste would be reduced.

Harri has explained that the masala has a spicy flavour and that gives the special masala omelette its increased spicy taste. Children would find it difficult to have this recipe due to its spiciness, but others would surely enjoy the recipe. Dark brown coloured beef fry and delicious beef roast were also available through this food spot for the customers. If you weren’t interested in having the Parotta, some of the other varieties like Appam, Idiyappam, Dosa and Chappati were there for selection.

Among these items, I have gone for Dosa along with beef roast and beef fry for dinner. Harri on the other hand has chosen Parotta and chicken fry. We have also ordered one special omelette to get to know the flavour. Fried Chicken Masala and chopped vegetables were served for both these dishes. Vegetable pieces contain a sliced lemon and according to Harri, it will be tastier to have these vegetables with squeezed lemon juice applied over them. The beef roast was so tasty to be had with Dosa and it was amazing. But I felt the beef fry was quite different from the taste I had imagined.
