Ayyappa Tea Stall Coimbatore for Kerala Vegetarian Food

Ayyappa Tea Stall Coimbatore is a tiny restaurant that is close to the city’s well-known Sree Ayyappa Temple. If you’re in Coimbatore and want to try Kerala style vegetarian food, you should visit Siddhapudur.

When we stopped by Ayyappa Tea Stall for breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of options they had to offer. From classic dishes like puttu and kadala curry or puttu and sambar, to crowd favorites like dosa, idiyappam, and appam, there was something for everyone. And if you’re in the mood for some snacks, they’ve got you covered with pazhampori, vada, and more to enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee. It’s the perfect spot for devotees and kerala food lovers!

What can you try at Ayyappa Tea Stall Coimbatore?

So, we rolled into this restaurant around 8 am, thinking we were early birds, only to find out that they’ve been up and running since 6 in the morning! The full breakfast spread wasn’t ready until 7, but let me tell you, it was worth the wait. They had all sorts of Kerala specialties on offer, but my personal highlights were the Puttu and Kadala curry. And what’s a breakfast without a piping hot cup of strong tea and some pazhampori to round it all off? Pure happiness on a plate, I tell you.

They offer lunch options during the noon hours and tasty evening snacks starting at 4 pm. Just keep in mind that this spot specializes in vegetarian dishes, so meat lovers might have to look elsewhere for their fix.

If you’re looking for a laid-back spot to grab a quick cup of tea, the Ayyappa Tea Stall is the place to be. With a cozy kiosk-like ambiance, this spot may not offer fine dining, but it definitely delivers on flavor. Keep in mind that parking can be a bit of a challenge, and the stall can only fit up to 25 people at a time. Run by a friendly couple from Irijalikuda now settled in Coimbatore, this tea stall is perfect for tasty vegetarian Kerala dishes.
