When we stopped by Ayyappa Tea Stall for breakfast, we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of options they had to offer. From classic dishes like puttu and kadala curry or puttu and sambar, to crowd favorites like dosa, idiyappam, and appam, there was something for everyone. So, we rolled into this restaurant around 8 am, thinking we were early birds, only to find out that they’ve been up and running since 6 in the morning! The full breakfast spread wasn’t ready until 7, but let me tell you, it was worth the wait. They had all sorts of Kerala specialties on offer, but my personal highlights were the Puttu and Kadala curry. And what’s a breakfast without a piping hot cup of strong tea and some pazhampori to round it all off? Pure happiness on a plate, I tell you.
They offer lunch options during the noon hours and tasty evening snacks starting at 4 pm. Just keep in mind that this spot specializes in vegetarian dishes, so meat lovers might have to look elsewhere for their fix.
