Fort Kochi is a part of Kochi with an entirely distinct vibe. It is a world in itself. Quaint looking shops, alleys and eateries distinguish Fort Kochi from other parts of Ernakulam or Kochi. Here you will find Kafe D Kochi which tries to replicate the spirit of Fort Kochi in looks, but serves Kerala recipes along with other food. Seafood dishes are their specialty items.
Kafe D Kochi caters to non-vegetarians. Fish tawa fry, grilled fish, lobster, prawns, squid and crab are some of the dishes on their menu. You will get beef and chicken delicacies also. Most seafood dishes are cooked in the traditional Kerala manner. The restaurant serves vegetarian food as well. Most customers who visit the shop point out that seafood is what one should try here, as the other items on the menu are just average.
Kafe D Kochi is a restaurant with indoor as well as outdoor seating. It is located beside a small alley. The restaurant has set up outdoor canopies with chairs and tables under it, which looks cool. This is a place where the young crowd can hang out with their buddies, and at the same time, relish some seafood. The restaurant remains open from 11 AM to 11 PM. There are limited parking facilities nearby. Although this restaurant started functioning 4 years back, Google reviews do not give it a very good rating yet. There are mixed reviews about the quality of food and the service of staff. Outdoor ambiance is one factor that most customers love about the place.

“If you are on a budget trip to kochi and want to try out some good sea food, this is the place to go. Portions are generous, but the taste is ok-ok. Service is good and theres a chill vibe about the area. Plus its nice to grab a cup of coffee and pan cakes after strolljng through the island. Prawns were good. Pancakes were good. coffee good. Overall – good. PS. Theres an image of their garlic parota. Guys, fry the garlic separately and then toss it in the dough. You nailed the parota. The garlic was raw.” – Austyn Goveas
“Presentation and canvacing is good.. Polite and good mannerism towards customers… In the case of chatti chor.. Rice is not boiled much and served cold. All other items tried was good. Less spicy.. French fries are good” – Aify Francis
